Description
A colorful foliage plant with pink, white, or red spotting splashed across green leaves. Indoors it is usually grown for quick decorative color, but it needs regular pinching or it gets lanky fast.
Care
- Light: Bright indirect keeps the color stronger without scorching.
- Water: Do not let it dry hard; keep the mix lightly moist.
- Soil & potting: Standard potting mix with drainage.
- Humidity & temperature: Likes warm rooms and appreciates humidity.
- Feeding: Light feeding during active growth.
- Repotting / propagation: Pinch tips often to keep it compact.
Propagation
Very easy from stem cuttings and also possible from seed. Cuttings are the normal indoor route because they reset leggy plants quickly. See Propagation Basics.
Toxicity
Generally treated as pet-safe and commonly listed as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
