Description
A compact Sierra penstemon with cool blue to violet tubular flowers and a lower, tidier habit than the taller east-side red penstemons. It fits the high-country palette of granite, sage, and conifer openings.

Open montane and subalpine ground in the Sierra and eastern high country, often in rocky or sandy sites with good drainage.
